Vacation To Hawaii

My wife and I just booked flights to Hawaii in September using my Delta SkyMiles. This is my first trip to Hawaii (my wife's 2nd) and we're both looking forward to some time off.

It was 52,000 SkyMiles per ticket, plus $10 per ticket in taxes. If we would have had to pay for the tickets, they would have cost $610.64 each.

It's nice to score two free tickets from miles I earned on business travel. Using the 104,000 miles knocked my
SkyMiles balance down to 29,233 miles. I will be adding more miles when I go on my next business trip in a couple of weeks.

Sounds fun! I used to live there as a kid, but it would be nice to go back and better appreciate it now :)

Sweet! I've been to Hawaii twice, and it was amazing!

We're stoked. Nothing like a vacation at ~1/2 price.

That's awesome! I need to get an airline miles card. I have a points card currently and I do well enough, but it takes almost double the points to earn enough to convert to airline miles. Although, in truth, I'm torn between airline miles and the Marriott card. I think that might be the better option. My hotel trips always cost more then the flight. Decisions, decisions...

Oh enjoy your trip! I will be going back to Hawaii myself for good in August!

Kristy- I don't have an airlines miles card, the miles I had were all earned from flying (mostly on business). Our credit cards are all cash back rewards, except for our AMEX that we use for Costco and get restaurant points on.

Noodlegirl- Moving to Hawaii for good sure beats 1 week there. Lucky!
